Brush Painting Practice Session

Practice is based on AoB Curriculum: East Asian Calligraphy , "Four Gentlemen" Brush Painting and Oriental Landscape Painting.

You can practice wherever you are on your own learning journey with one - to - one feedback and guidance.

Unwind, explore your creativity, and develop your artistic skills in our Brush Painting Practice and Meditation Class—a relaxed, welcoming group session designed for all levels.

Time: 2.00pm - 5.00pm (3 hours)

Location: The Palms Health and Wellbeing Centre, Gorey, Co. Wexford, Y25 V6P6 (the opposite side of the Post Office, and the front door is between Mi Street Food and O'Leary)

Each session is guided by the AoB Curriculum: East Asian Calligraphy and “FG” Brush Painting, offering a clear yet flexible structure for your practice. Together, we’ll explore and revisit brush techniques and strokes, giving you time to deepen your understanding while also learning from others. There’s space to ask questions, receive guidance, and notice your own progress—without pressure.

A typical session flows simply and naturally:

• Welcome and check-in

• Guided meditation

• Brush practice

• Tea break

• Brush practice

• Closing

• Tea & chat (arguably the most important part)

What to Expect

• Slow Down and Breath In

      The session will start with some simple breathing and meditation practice to help us feel relaxed and grounded.

• Practice at Your Own Pace

  Work independently on your painting while enjoying the calm, creative atmosphere of a group setting.

• One-to-One Guidance

  Receive personalized feedback, tips, and guidance from the instructor throughout the session.

• Get Connected

  Share your experience and practice with your peer practitioners and exchange ideas, support each other and ... laugh together!

• All Materials Provided

  Brushes, paints, paper/canvas, and other tools are all available onsite—just bring yourself and your creativity.
